Tadalafil ships in 5 Indian brand names. All five come from global pharma giants. The ED-specialist brands you see on Reddit don't show up here for a reason.

Tadalafil isn't sildenafil. It's a 36-hour parking brake, not a 4-hour quick-release. That's why only 5 Indian brand names matter — and all 5 come from the same kind of company.

Cipla makes two of them. Sun Pharma makes two. Dr. Reddy's makes one. Three companies. That's the global-pharma anchor — the brands we route as default for first-time buyers. ED-export specialists (Centurion's Vidalista, Sunrise's Tadarise, Healing's Tastylia) ship the same molecule with wider dose-and-form variety we route on request. Different commercial role, same FDA-bioequivalent tadalafil.

The reason is the half-life. Tadalafil's 17.5-hour half-life means a single 5mg or 20mg tablet does what a sildenafil dose-and-form catalog of 11 SKUs has to work hard to do. The whole commercial reason ED-specialist firms exist — extra dose strengths, chewables, sublinguals, oral jellies — collapses for tadalafil. You don't need a 200mg "double-strength" tadalafil. You need a 5mg pill that sits in your bloodstream for two days.

So the manufacturers that show up are the ones whose business model doesn't depend on filling dose-spec gaps. They show up because tadalafil is a profitable molecule that fits inside a global generics portfolio without needing a marketing story.

Annual cost on the daily 5mg protocol — same molecule, same dose, every day for a year:

Cialis brand $4,800/yr | US generic (CVS GoodRx) $120-300/yr | LiberaCure $180-310/yr

Honest read on the lanes: US generic tadalafil is already cheap. If you have a US prescription and GoodRx access, CVS cash is hard to beat on absolute price. Our lane wins specifically when (a) you don't have insurance / don't want a PCP visit, (b) you're outside the US, or (c) you want larger pack sizes (90 days at a time) without monthly pharmacy trips. We're not pretending to undercut $4/month US generics — we're a different lane with different friction.

We route tadalafil orders. Be aware of that — full disclosure at the end.

The 5-brand, 1-category split.

There are technically more tadalafil brands made in India than five. The ED-specialist firms (Centurion, Sunrise, Healing) do produce tadalafil — Vidalista, Tadarise, Tastylia, Tadalista — and those brands dominate English-language Reddit threads about generic Cialis the same way Cenforce and Fildena dominate the sildenafil discussion.

For tadalafil specifically, we route the global pharma giants first. The reason isn't safety — the ED-specialist firms run WHO-GMP facilities and ship FDA-bioequivalent tadalafil too. The reason is that the differentiation those firms offer (extra doses, chewables, sublinguals) doesn't add real value when the molecule already lasts 36 hours.

So on tadalafil, the global pharma giants aren't just the conservative choice. They're the choice that maps to how the molecule actually works.

TL;DR — just want to start?

Tadaflo 5mg daily, 30-pack, $15-25 routed through us. Take with breakfast. Skip the rest of this article.

If you want the full teardown of why those five brands and no others, read on.

Tadacip (Cipla) — the 20mg PRN workhorse.

Cipla, founded 1935 in Mumbai, is the Indian generics giant whose facilities are USFDA-inspected and whose manufacturing footprint underwrites most of the LMIC HIV antiretroviral supply. Their portfolio runs from rituximab biosimilars to inhalers to dermatology, shipped into 80 countries. Tadalafil is one product line among hundreds.

Tadacip is Cipla's flagship tadalafil brand. It ships in 10mg and 20mg tablets. The 20mg is the standard PRN dose — the one you take 30 minutes to two hours before sex and that covers you through the next 36 hours. No exotic forms. No dose creep above the FDA-approved ceiling. The packaging is plain. The pill works.

If the question is "what's the most boring, most defensible tadalafil brand to start with," Tadacip 20mg is the answer.

Per-pill at LiberaCure-routed pricing: roughly $1.10-2.00 for 20mg in 10-pack format. Lower per-pill in larger packs.

Tadaflo (Cipla) — the daily-protocol sibling.

Tadaflo is Cipla's second tadalafil brand. It ships in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg. The 5mg is the SKU that matters — that's the daily protocol dose, the one you take every morning at the same time and never think about again until the bottle is empty.

Why does Cipla make two tadalafil brands? Pure SKU segmentation. Tadacip is the PRN-positioning brand. Tadaflo carries the lower 5mg daily strength. They're chemically identical — same Cipla facility, same API, same WHO-GMP standard.

If you want the daily protocol — and for most men over 40 with chronic mild ED, daily is the cheaper and more effective protocol per real-world usage — Tadaflo 5mg is the SKU you want. 30-day pack, take one with breakfast, done.

Per-pill at LiberaCure-routed pricing: roughly $0.50-0.85 for 5mg in 30-pack. The lowest per-dose tier of the entire daily-protocol lane.

Modula + Forzest (Sun Pharma) — the broad-portfolio anchor.

Sun Pharma, founded 1983 in Calcutta, headquartered in Mumbai, is now India's largest pharmaceutical company and one of the top Indian generic suppliers into the US generic market. They acquired Ranbaxy in 2014 and inherited the Halol Gujarat manufacturing footprint — USFDA-inspected with quality issues post-Ranbaxy acquisition still being remediated (2022 warning letter, ongoing import alert hedge).

Sun ships two tadalafil brands. Modula is the primary line — 5mg and 20mg, the daily-and-PRN dose pair Cipla covers across two brand names, Sun covers under one. Forzest is the secondary 20mg-only brand, originally marketed for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) — the urinary-flow indication tadalafil 5mg picked up on the FDA Cialis label in 2011. In current Indian retail, Forzest 20mg is plain ED-PRN tadalafil, interchangeable with Modula 20mg and Tadacip 20mg.

Both Modula and Forzest are primarily Indian domestic retail SKUs more than the export-focused personal-import lane. Forzest in particular rarely shows up on the export channel — when it does, it's the priciest of the five. Per-pill where they appear: Modula $0.60-1.00, Forzest $1.50-3.00.

Tazzle (Dr. Reddy's) — the third global-pharma option.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, founded 1984 in Hyderabad, is one of the most recognizable Indian generic names in the US generic market. Their facilities are USFDA-inspected. Their portfolio is heavy on cardiovascular and CNS drugs sold into US retail under the Dr. Reddy's-branded generic label.

Tazzle is Dr. Reddy's tadalafil brand. It ships in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg tablets. Unlike Cipla's two-brand split, Dr. Reddy's keeps everything under one Tazzle umbrella.

Tazzle's positioning on the export market is closer to Tadacip than to the ED-specialist brands. Dr. Reddy's competes with Cipla and Sun on supplier credibility, not on dose-spec gimmickry. The Tazzle 5mg pack is a viable daily-protocol SKU on the same per-pill tier as Tadaflo 5mg.

Per-pill pricing: $0.55-0.95 for 5mg, $0.75-1.20 for 20mg.

What ED-specialist tadalafil brands offer, and why we don't lead with them.

Vidalista (Centurion), Tadarise (Sunrise), Tastylia (Healing), Tadalista — these are the brands you see most on Reddit threads about generic Cialis. They exist for the same operational reason their sildenafil counterparts exist: the export market wants more dose-and-form SKUs than the global pharma giants bother making.

Vidalista ships in 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, 60mg, plus Vidalista CT (chewable), Vidalista Black 80mg, and Vidalista Professional sublingual. That's a wider lineup than Tadacip plus Tadaflo combined.

The thing is, most of that lineup exists for SKU segmentation, not clinical advantage. The FDA-approved tadalafil dosing ceiling is 20mg PRN. Above-20mg variants (40mg, 60mg, 80mg) are widely sold in the personal-import lane but should be treated as considered choices with real side-effect tax (the muscle ache and back pain that ~3-5% of patients get on tadalafil scales with dose), not defaults. The chewable and sublingual variants offer ~15 minutes faster onset on a 36-hour drug — geometrically smaller benefit than the equivalent on sildenafil.

So we route the global pharma giants first because for the molecule's actual dosing geometry, the ED-specialist variety doesn't pay off. The ED-specialist tadalafil brands are still on our shelf — we route them when patients specifically ask for a chewable or specifically need a daily-protocol 2.5mg that the global pharma giants don't make. They're not the default.

The price spread, all five brands plus reference.

For PRN at 20mg, ~3 doses per week:

  • Cialis brand: $12,500-15,600/yr
  • Hims/Roman PRN: $700-1,200/yr
  • CVS GoodRx: ~$300-600/yr
  • LiberaCure-routed: $110-185/yr

The brake metaphor.

PDE5 is the enzyme your body uses to clean up the erection signal. PDE5 inhibitors block that cleanup, leaving the signal in place longer.

Sildenafil is a 4-hour quick-release brake. You apply it, the brake holds for one event, then it releases.

Tadalafil is a 36-hour parking brake. You apply it once and the car stays put through the weekend, whether you drive it or not. Daily 5mg is leaving the parking brake on continuously — same end state, lower dose per moment, no application ritual.

That's the geometry that explains why ED-specialist firms don't add as much value here as they do for sildenafil. You can't really "shave 15 minutes off" a parking brake. You either have it engaged or you don't.

How to choose, first time.

If you've never bought tadalafil from a personal-import lane before:

  1. Decide between daily and PRN before you pick a brand. Daily 5mg is the right protocol if you have sex more than once a week, or if you're 45+ with mild BPH symptoms. PRN 20mg is the right protocol if you have sex once a week or less.
  2. For daily 5mg: Tadaflo 30-pack from Cipla. $15-25 routed through us. Take one with breakfast. Give it 14 days to reach steady state.
  3. For PRN 20mg: Tadacip 10-pack from Cipla. $11-20 routed through us. Take 30-60 minutes before sex.
  4. Don't switch brands once one works. Cross-brand spread is $0.10-0.30 per pill. A working SKU and supplier are worth more than that.
  5. If 20mg PRN feels insufficient and you've ruled out the vascular concern (smoke-alarm angle — most "20mg isn't enough" reports trace back to underlying vascular disease), the FDA-approved ceiling is 20mg. If sildenafil 100mg already failed you twice, switching molecules is the evidence-based next move, not pushing tadalafil above 20mg.

A note on operations.

LiberaCure quotes ~2 weeks to most jurisdictions, 2-4 weeks with customs variance. Tracking active 24-48h after dispatch. Reship once free if tracking shows lost in transit, second reship also free, crypto refund (BTC / ETH / USDT) on third failure. Email reply 24-48h ([email protected]).

We're crypto-only (BTC, USDT TRC-20, LTC, XMR, ETH via NOWPayments). Crypto-only in this lane is usually a deliberate operational choice — payment processors that handle personal-import either charge premium fees or cut sites off mid-cycle. We chose crypto for the same reason — it's why our per-pill on tadalafil sits in the $0.50-1.20 range instead of the $5-15 telehealth band.

A note on bias.

We route tadalafil orders. Be aware of that.

LiberaCure routes orders to licensed personal-import pharmacies. Tadacip and Tadaflo (both by Cipla) are the global-pharma tadalafil SKUs the export channel ships most consistently into our supply, with Modula and Forzest (Sun Pharma) and Tazzle (Dr. Reddy's) appearing as same-category equivalents when supplier inventory rotates. We also route ED-specialist tadalafil brands — Vidalista (Centurion), Tadarise (Sunrise), Tastylia (Healing) — for patients who specifically need a chewable, sublingual, or 2.5mg micro-dose. So we have a financial reason to want this article to lead you toward "give the personal-import generic lane a try."

Read this with that in mind. The global-pharma-first recommendation is what I'd tell a friend, not what maximizes reorder rate.

If a competitor personal-import pharmacy is already shipping you Tadacip or Tadaflo and the price is within the same band, don't switch on $0.10 per pill.
